Time slots in Tariff 2.0TD: Learn to organise your consumption and save

If you have a contracted power of up to 15 kW (which is common in the vast majority of homes and small commercial premises), your current tariff is 2.0TD. This tariff operates with a fixed time discrimination that divides your days into three price bands. Knowing when electricity is cheaper and when it is more expensive will help you take control of your monthly bill. We detail it below:

The 3 time slots for electricity (Monday to Friday)

From Monday to Friday, the 24 hours of the day are divided into these three periods:

  • Peak Hour (High Price): These are the most expensive hours of the day. It is advisable to avoid the simultaneous use of high-power appliances (oven, washing machine, ceramic hob).

    • Schedule: From 10:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.

  • Flat Hour (Medium Price): An intermediate slot where the cost is not so high. It is a good alternative if you need to carry out household tasks during the day.

    • Schedule: From 08:00 to 10:00, from 14:00 to 18:00 and from 22:00 to 24:00.

  • Valley Hour (Low Price): The most economical slot of the day. Ideal for scheduling certain appliances or charging devices.

    • Schedule: From 00:00 to 08:00 in the morning.

Weekends are 100% Valley

Remember that both Saturdays and Sundays, as well as complete national holidays, are Valley Periods. During these days, there are no time slots: all hours are billed at the lowest price of the tariff.

Simple keys to start saving today

  1. Take advantage of the dual power: The 2.0TD tariff allows you to contract two different power levels. You can maintain a normal power level during the day and increase it at night if you need to, for example, charge an electric vehicle at a minimum power cost.

  2. Schedule and shift: Whenever possible, shift the use of the washing machine or dishwasher to weekends or to the afternoon hours during off-peak times (from 14:00 to 18:00).

  3. The definitive leap to self-consumption: By generating your own solar energy during the day, you directly and freely cover the Peak and Off-Peak periods, reducing your dependence on the electrical grid during the most critical times of the day.
