At CMG Renovables, we know that efficiency is the key to savings, but sometimes, when connecting several appliances at once, we exceed the contracted limit and the meter cuts off the supply. This is what we commonly refer to as "tripping the fuses".
With the new smart meters from i-DE (Iberdrola), the recovery process is digital. Here we explain the 3 routes to restore your energy quickly and safely.
1. The Electric Panel Method (the simplest)
It is the usual way of "notifying" the accountant that we have already reduced consumption.
Step 1: Disconnect the last device you turned on (the one that caused the outage).
Step 2: Lower all the switches in your electrical panel (the main switch and the circuit breakers).
Step 3: Wait 10 seconds. This electrical silence is necessary for the smart meter to reset.
Step 4: Turn all the switches back on, starting with the Main. The light should come back instantly!
2. Through the i-DE App or Website (remote control)
As a customer of CMG Renovables, your energy travels through the networks of the distributor (in this case i-DE). They offer a very powerful digital tool:
Step 1: Access the i-DE App (Iberdrola Distribution).
Step 2: Enter the "Supply Management" section.
Step 3: If the system detects that the switch is open due to power, you will see the option "Reconnect".
Step 4: Press the button and the counter will automatically send the light switch command without you having to move from the sofa.
3. The physical button of the counter (shortcut)
If the electrical panel method does not work and you have access to the meter room, you can act directly on the equipment:
Step 1: Locate your electricity meter.
Step 2: If the message "Close Sust" or "Power Excess" appears on the screen, the equipment is locked.
Step 3: You will see a front button (usually yellow or orange). Hold it down for 3 to 5 seconds.
Step 4: You will hear an internal "click" indicating that the relay has closed and the flow of current has been restored.
Does this happen to you very often? At CMG Renovables, we help you
If the meter frequently trips, it means that your contracted power does not match your actual needs. This is not only annoying, but it can also indicate that your installation is not efficient and you may even incur fees and charges for these excesses..
At CMG Renovables we offer you:
Free power study: We analyse whether you need to increase your power term or if we can optimise your habits to help you save.
Qualified professionals for the certification of your installation: Since in most cases, energy distribution companies require the opening of a file or the issuance of a certificate of the installation in order to carry out the increase in power.
